Lifeline Grants 2023

This is The Campaigners

The mission of The Campaigners is to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and to help everyone, especially children and young people, discover and develop a personal living faith in Jesus Christ.

The strapline, ‘Preparing for Life’ reflects this purpose and passion. It identifies with the promise that living a life with Jesus offers ‘life in all its fullness’ and it recognises that everyone has a unique God-given character, ability and purpose in life.

The Campaigners seeks to remove any barriers that may prevent attendance at its youth camps and activities.  In addition, we are offering individual or group enterprise grants to help young people and adults to widen their experience of Christian mission or to support local mission initiatives. Thirdly, we extend the criteria for grant funding to individual or group activities under the Volunteer or Residential Sections of the Duke of Edinburgh Award.

The Lifeline Grant Scheme exists to support this aim and vision. Grants are governed by the Campaigner Trustees who make discretionary grants where they believe

The Lifeline Grant Scheme for 2023 Grant applications are invited that meet the following criteria:

  • Individuals or groups may apply to the Scheme for an enterprise grant towards the cost of a Christian venture or to set-up a voluntary project. Applicants will be expected to acknowledge the support given by The Campaigners and to share their story. Grants under this section are discretionary and will be considered by The Campaigner Trustees at the end of January, April, July and October.
  • Youth Group leaders may apply on behalf of their group members and leaders for a grant to assist those in need or hardship to attend a nationally organised Campaigner Camp or residential event. This section maintains the support previously offered by the ‘George Hedger Camp Bursary Fund’ to help Campaigner children, young people and leaders to attend camp who would otherwise not be able to go.
  • Individual or Groups DofE Group leaders may apply for a grant towards the cost of an individual or group ‘Volunteer Section’ activity taken at either Bronze, Silver or Gold level. Individuals may also apply for a grant of up to £100 towards the cost of attending a Gold residential activity or specific course with people the applicant doesn’t know in a residential setting away from home and in an unfamiliar environment. The Campaigners would invite feedback to promote the Award and the Grant Scheme.
